RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Our model shows that as the water gradient increases, the cancer cell moves in the direction where the concentration of water is the highest. Because water is a polar molecule, the cell can repolarize itself in the direction of the higher water concentration. The cell opens rearranges the ion channels/pumps at the leading and the aquaporins at the distal end. Thus it uses the water gradient to propel itself through flux and flux out the ion pumps/channels and aquaporins.
